When Beth and I were first married, we would vacation at Bethany Beach in the summer and for special family times. Many many years ago on our anniversary, we had dinner at the Harbor Lights Motel Restaurant which was then situated on the property which is now the Villas at Beach Cove. The food wasn’t great, but the views of the bay were spectacular and it was so close to the Beach. Fast forward to summer 2003 when our son was going into his senior year in high school and we gathered the family and many of our kids friends and we rented a home north of Bethany and while I was on my bike during that vacation, I found a new townhome community is being built on that very location! Since Beth and I are involved in the commercial real estate industry and we have a business on the Washington Beltway founded in 1993 under which we lease, buy sell and develop retail shopping centers, I take special interest in how buildings are constructed regardless if residential or commercial. After spending a lot of time with the construction manager overseeing the construction of the Villas at Beach Cove who by the way was from my home town of Pittsburgh, PA, I was very impressed with not only the location of the development, but how it was being built. Well the rest is history. This is our home at the beach and has been since 2004. We love the location of the Villas, so close to the beach which is wide and quiet but also with the bay sunsets that take your breath away all year long. We wanted our home(s) to be comfortable, spacious, and seamless for our guests. Since we’re real estate professionals working on our own home, we recognize the important of delivering the best experienced possible for our guests.
